My smarty pants daughter just graduated primary school and I got to attend her valediction. Being her first year in a public school after home schooling she adjusted very well and got very good grades! I'm so proud of her.

We went out for Pizza and banana splits with Oli and Marie (who's son Darren graduated in the same school) to celebrate. Good times.

Slightly scared of all that High School will bring (especially Grade 8 where you're at the bottom of the totem pole) but I guess everyone else survives and I'm sure she'll be great. I wish I could tell her all the things to do like, being smart is more important than being cool, don't worry about what your peers think of you as they won't matter when you grow up but I know all that has to be learned the slow way and you can't help the butterfly out of it's cocoon any faster.

Today she's off to perform at a retirement home for Christmas. I'm one proud mom.
